Calling in a Household Angel
As always, relax and come to centre in the way that works best for you.
Calmly contemplate your home, letting your mind wander, for example, around the rooms and the other people who live in it. Then contemplate the angel who could be in your home, its presence bringing a blessing and helping you all to live together in a more harmonious, creative and healing way.
Then, aloud or in your mind, communicate words like: 'Angel of the home, I invite you to be here. Angel of the Home I thank you for your presence.'
Feel totally free to use whatever words work for you. Or you may not want to use words at all. You might prefer simply to light a candle and feel yourself inviting in and welcoming the angels presence.
It is important that you acknowledge its presence and thank it. Even if you are not certain that it is with you, act as if it is. It will surely be with you, even if you cannot in those moments sense it. Say, or telepath, words like 'Angel of the home, I acknowledge and give thanks for your presence.'
Do not let your intellect get caught up with thoughts such as: 'I don't know what this angel is really like.....This is just my imagination playing tricks......How can I tell if this is really here.... I feel such an idiot.' Suspend your normal mental disbelief and enter into a more playful and imaginative, more poetic and lyrical dimension.
Trust that your invitation and grateful acknowledgement of its presence will work. Simply accept that the angel is already with you.

Crystal Angels
This is a lovely meditation to help you meet the crystal Deva.
Make sure your crystal is cleansed by washing in clear water and drying in
the sun (or moon)light.
Sit quietly holding your crystal in both hands.
Center yourself and calm your breathing.
Imagine roots growing out of your feet and curling round the damp soil going
deep into the earth, allow your roots to touch the green gold mother earth
energy.
Draw the energy up towards you with each in breath.
Until your whole body and your crystal are filled with the beautiful
green-gold mother earth light.
Now reach up with your mind and pluck a strand of pure white light from
every star in the heavens and draw it towards you.
Allow the strands of light to gather in a ball just above your head.
let the ball grow larger and larger.
Now bring that ball pure white heavenly light down through your body to
mingle with the green gold mother earth energy within you and your crystal. (This in itself is a wonderful energising, cleansing and grounding
exercise.)
You now see yourself standing on the shore of a lake.
On the other side of the water you see your crystal.
It has grown to the size of a mountain.
With it's point high up amongst the clouds.
Halfway up the crystal mountain you can see a doorway.
Stretching from that doorway across the water to just beside you is a
rainbow bridge.
You can see the rainbow arching gracefully across the lake to the doorway
halfway up the crystal mountain.
Your guide has come to take you across the bridge.
You can feel their reassuring presence behind you as you step on to the
rainbow bridge and begin to glide upwards.
As you come to the top of the bridge the air is cool and fresh.
You can see the lake stretching out below and around you.
As you glide downwards the crystal doorway comes nearer.
Step off the bridge as you arrive beside the doorway, the floor is sandy and
cool to your feet.
Your guide will wait for you here.
This is your journey now.
As you enter the crystal mountain you can see the walls are suffused with an
orange glow.
Bathe in the gentle orange light as you are gently lifted and begin to float
upwards.
As you drift notice the walls of the crystal mountain.
Look above you as your surroundings now begin to glow with a yellow light.
See how the colours blend as you float ever higher within the Crystal.
Yellow gives way to pink as you rise, lighter than air.
Pale blue shot with silver now as you travel higher, See the light
refracting off the walls.
Pale blue changes to deep indigo with gold and brassy flecks blinking and
flashing as you drift upwards.
Feel surrounded by the deep indigo light.
Upwards higher and higher, the indigo pales to the purest violet.
with a beauty that catches your breath.
you have reached the very top of the crystal now.
There is a floor beneath your feet.
Look around you, What can you see?
Very soon the Keeper of the Crystal will come to you
Talk with them a while and recieve their message.
When it is time to leave. Thank the crystal angel.
You will begin to float downwards through the coloured realms of the crystal
mountain.
Down through Indigo, drifting gently passing the blue and sliver.
Falling gently as a leaf from a tree, through the pink and yellow, finally alighting gently on the sandy floor of the orange area.
Close to the doorway where your guide is waiting to take you back across the
rainbow bridge.
As you travel across the bridge share with your guide the message from the
crystal angel. They may have something to add. Feel reassured by their
presence.
As you step off the rainbow bridge on to the ground beside the lake, say
goodbye to your guide and thank them for their protection during your
journey.
Breathe a little deeper now and begin to bring your awareness back to where
you are sitting.
Allow your crystal to shrink back to it's original size between your hands.
Let go of that ball of white light and see each beam winging back to it's
star.
Become aware again of your roots holding you to the earth.
Just experience that feeling for a while as you gently return.
Look at your crystal, Does it look or feel different to you, now you have
met it's angel?
Reflect on the message you were given. What does it mean to you?
Please remember to take a drink of water after meditating.

Angel Meditation
O Father of Light and Mother of Love, I evoke the glorious angels into
the lives of my loved ones. I call forth the seraphic and cherubic
angels, the archangels and all members of the angelic kingdom to
surround all those in my life as well as throughout the world. May we
all feel the charging radiation of the angels in body, mind and spirit.
May this meditation open the door for myself and others, offering the
opportunity to believe in the angels sincerely. May we accept the
angels openly, know the angels personally, live and experience the
angels daily and be angelic eternally. I send my love and gratitude to
all the blessed angels and accept my call as being fulfilled in God's
most holy name...I am, I am...
Charge, charge, charge me with the strength of archangel Michael, so I
shall not lose faith. Expand, expand, expand in my the healing light
of Archangel Raphael, so I am bathed in the healing light throughout
the day. Let me see myself as I truly am, a perfect child of God. I
am successful, radiant, and endowed with the potential to achieve. I
am patient, for I know a pattern of good is always unfolding. Angels
of God, who are my guardians...guard, guide, govern and enlighten me,
for I have been entrusted to you by the heavenly goodness. Amen...

To Protect Against Car Trouble
Using your finger, mark a pentagram over each tire.
Then get into the automobile and visualize
a blue pentagram hovering slightly above it, with the top point of the star
in the center of the hood. Mentally "stretch" the pentagram until the
points flow under the car to encase it and join together in the chassis
center.
Automobile Protection Charm
l tsp. comfrey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch powered garlic
hematite
aquamarine
4 in. square white cloth
red ribbon or yarn
green ribbon or yarn
purple ribbon or yarn
Mix together a teaspoon each of powdered comfrey and powdered cinnamon. Add
the pinch of powdered
garlic, then add the stones to the mixture. As you mix, chant:
Good luck to travel you shall be.
Keep my auto problem free.
Pour the mixture onto the cloth square and use the ribbons to tie it into a
bag. Hang the charm from the
rearview mirror. As you hand it, chant:
No sickness, troubles, or repairs--
This charm protects you from these cares.
From D. Morrison "Everyday Magic"

How do I call upon my Angel/Guide(s)?
Just call upon Them. Here is an example: "Most beloved name of your
Angel/Guide , I humbly ask that you join me now (or I humbly call upon you
now) and help me to fill in the blank ." When you are completed with your
request or work that you are doing Thank your Angel/Guide for their help.
The more you do this the stronger your connection will feel with your
Angel/Guide. You can also sing their name at least 3 times, use your inner
guidance on pitch and tone. Kind of like a chant of sorts.

How can I open wider to the energy of my Angel/Guide or allow them to do
their work through me?
Call upon your Angel/Guide and ask them to use your vehicle/body to do their
work, or to merge with you to do your work. Also here are a few other things
you can do to strengthen your connection with your Guide:
Before you go to sleep at night, ask your Angel/Guide to come to you in your
dream and give you a message or what ever. Then when you first wake up write
down on a piece of paper any impressions, or messages you got and/or about
any dreams you may have had. It is possible that they will give you messages
in visual images in your dream.
Talk to them during the day and ask for help when you feel stuck with
something. Always listen to the small quiet voice (intuition, gut feelings)
you get and act on them, this is your guide or your High Self communicating
with you.
Do guided meditation where you meet with you Guide/Angel. It is very easy to
make one on your own, go to a book store and look up Meditation, Guided
Meditation or Guided Visualization and see if you can find a book which has
various meditations in it. Pick the parts you like, add some of your own and
record it on a tape player. Then listen to it daily until your connection to
her is very strong.

Our Devotion to Angels
During the past decade, we've witnessed a tremendous resurgence of
interest in angels. This interest seems new to many people who are discovering angels for the
first time. However, our presentation attention is but the latest part of a long tradition that
has sought to preserve a sacred mystery. Angels reveal the path to God.
Special devotion and veneration of the angels have been permitted,
even encouraged, in the Christian church since the church's beginnings. Devotional cults are
most prominent in Catholicism. Catholic tradition regards angels as conscious beings of
high intelligence, not bound by the limitations of physical laws, who can be of help to
humanity--but who must not be worshiped or adored, or placed above Christ or God. Devotion to angels
centers on imitating them, for they in turn imitate God. Veneration of saints is closely
associated with angelic devotion, for saints are considered to be the real friends of angels
and models of piety to men and women.
Though angels played an important role in Christian piety from a very
early stage, it was not until 325 A.D. that the Council of Nicea made belief in angels a part of
dogma. This stimulated theological discussions and writings on angels that have continued to
the present.
The early Christian Church looked to St. Paul for setting the standard
for veneration of angels. On various occasions, Paul referred to angels within a context of respect
and veneration. In 1 Corinthians 11:1-16, for example, Paul discusses proper ways to
worship. Women should worship with their heads covered, he says in 11:10, "because of the angels."
In this way, they show respect for the divine order, which is administered by angels (also,
women are assigned a lower status than men, whose heads are Christ; men should not worship with
their heads covered).
Early Church Fathers were sometimes cautious about encouraging
veneration of angels. On one hand, angels were convenient substitutes for pagan gods and daimons, a
type of intermediary spirit, and thus aided the campaign for conversion. On the other hand,
the Fathers did not wish to see worship of pagan gods merely transferred to angels. St. Justin
Martyr defended veneration of angels, and the philosopher Celsus declared that angels were different
from gods, else they would be called demons.
Origen took pains to distinguish between worship of God and devotion
to angels. In his work Contra Celsum, he states: "We indeed acknowledge that Angels are
ministering spirits, and we say they are sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of
salvation, and that they ascend, bearing the supplications of men, to the purest of the heavenly places
in the universe, or even to the supercelestial regions purer still, and they come down from these,
conveying to each one, according to his deserts, something enjoined by God to be conferred by
them upon those who are to be the recipients of His benefits... For every prayer and
supplication and intercession is to be sent up to the Supreme God through the High Priest, who is above all
the Angels, the living Word and God... It is enough to secure that the holy Angels be propitious
to us, and that they do all things on our behalf, that our disposition of mind toward God should
imitate, as far as possible for human nature, the example of these holy Angels, who themselves
imitate the example of their God."
St. Augustine was among those who feared that veneration of angels
would be confused with worship of pagan gods. "We honor them out of charity not out of
servitude," he said primly in De Vera Religione.
Nonetheless, angels found their place in Christian faith, and by the
sixth century veneration of them was firmly established. St. Benedict and Pope St. Gregory
fostered devotion to angels. Devotion reached a height during the Middle Ages. St. Bernard of
Clairvaux was especially ardent about the guardian angel. Citing Psalm 90:11, which states, "God has
given his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways," Bernard advocated lavishing great
respect, gratitude and love upon angels.
Testimony of the Saints
Devotion to angels was stimulated for centuries by the accounts of the
saints, many of whom wrote or spoke of frequent encounters with angels. St. Gemma Galgani
(1878-1903) had a rich visionary life, recorded in detail in her diaries and letters. She saw
her guardian angel and heard his voice. Her conversations with her angel were observed and recorded
by others who could only hear one side of the conversation--hers. Her spiritual director
commented that whenever she saw or listened to her angel, she entered into an ecstatic state of
consciousness, lost in another world; as soon as she turned her eyes away, she resumed her usual
personality.
Gemma's angel was her constant companion, so familiar that she often
treated him like a brother. She was once admonished by Father Germano, her spiritual director--who
overheard one of her one-way conversations--that she should treat him with more respect.
She agreed, and vowed to remain one hundred steps behind the angel whenever she saw him coming.
Sometimes the angel was severe with her in order to keep her on the
straight and narrow spiritual path. He would find fault with her, and tell her he was ashamed of
her. If she strayed from the path, he would depart from her presence for awhile.
Perhaps the most remarkable trademark of Gemma's angel was his
couriership. She would send him off on errands to deliver verbal messages to people in distant
places, and return with their replies. Gemma considered this angelic postal service to be a natural
thing. Others reportedly received the messages. Sometimes replies were delivered back to her by
the guardian angel of Father Germano. When some suggested this was the work of the devil,
Father Germano subjected Gemma to various spiritual tests, asking for irrefutable signs, and
got them.
One June 8, 1899, when Gemma was twenty-two, she received the
stigmata. Her angel helped her climb into bed. Gemma was visited by other angels as well, and often
by Father Germano's guardian angel, who, she said, had a brilliant star over his head. No
thought or deed of hers ever escaped angelic attention. If she was distracted in prayer, her angel
would punish her. If she did not feel well, or if she would not eat enough, the angel exhibited a
tender side, inquiring after her welfare and urging her to eat.
Angelic confraternities
Veneration of the angels also led to the establishment of
confraternities, legal and approved associations whose purpose is work of piety or charity and the
advancement of public worship. The first Archconfraternity of Saint Michael was established in 1878
in Italy (an archconfraternity has the right to affiliate other confraternities). Confraternities
were particularly popular during the nineteenth century; they have had renewed interest in the latter
twentieth century. In 1950, Philangeli was established in England with Episcopal approval, and has
spread worldwide. Members seek to become real friends with angels.
The Opus Sanctorum Angelorum ("The Work of the Holy Angels") is one of
the newer Catholic movements intended to renew and bolster belief in guardian angels, and
to foster a collaboration between angels and humans for the glory of God, the salvation of
humanity, and the regeneration of all creation. The Opus Sanctorum Angelorum was sanctioned by Pope
Paul VI in 1968, who probably was influenced by Pope Pius XII, who advocated a renewal of
devotion to angels.
The goal of the Opus is a divine marriage between humanity and the
angelic kingdom. The Opus teaches that the guardian angel protects against physical and
spiritual danger, and evil thoughts; corrects people when they sin; enlightens and instructs; conveys
prayers to God; assists in death; and takes souls to heaven or purgatory.
Devotion today
How should we regard angels today? While some people participate in
devotional orders as a way of recognizing angels, most of us are more informal. Regardless of
how we wish to try to communicate with angels, or what role we believe they play in our
lives, it's important to keep in mind that the ultimate purpose of angelic communion is to purify the
soul and reach God. If we stay focussed on this idea, our interaction with this vibration of the
Godhead will stay on a high plane of consciousness.

Invocation to the Healing Angels
The healing angels are ever ready to be of service to anyone who is ill, in
the hospital or to come to the aid of any and everybody involved in an
accident, natural disaster, or harmed by any means. In truth, their divine
presence can be seen and felt by those with inner vision in hospitals
everywhere, and around the ill and wounded, however, their work and their
numbers would exponentially increase by our simple prayers and invocations.
I again, take a moment to remind you to request their presence within your
own life, and to help you with your own personal healing process. Then,
focus your attention either on a particular individual who is ill, a
specific hospital, hospitals in general, or upon any specific or
generalized situation where their particular help is needed. Call upon the Mighty
Archangels Raphael and Mother Mary to oversee this work. Then proceed to
call upon the angels of healing in general and direct them to the area you
have chosen upon. For the benefit of those of you leading meditations such
as these, the following is an example of this particular meditation.
Close eyes. Assume a comfortable meditative posture, either sitting up or
lying down. We now invoke the pure white Light of the Christ and the
semipermeable bubble of golden-white light for protection. Only that which
is good and of GOD can pass through this bubble. Only that which is of GOD
can pass outward to our fellow human beings and to the planet. We are
protected and act as conduits and servers for the highest purposes only.
We now invoke the blessed presence of Archangel Raphael and Mother Mary,
his divine counterpart, to overlight this meditation.
We now invoke the presence of all of the Angels of the Healing Arts.
We ask that any and every aspect of disharmony or dis-ease within our own
personal bodies be bathed and washed clean within your healing light.
We now direct our attention to all hospitals around the globe.
We ask for the overlighting presence of Archangels Raphael and Mother Mary
to infuse these hospitals, that all may be bathed within your blessed
healing love-light.
We now ask for as many healing angels that are needed in order to help
effectuate healing on all levels of the four lower bodies to come and stand
by the bedside of all who are suffering within the various hospitals
everywhere.
We ask that you come in answer to our prayers and invocations, as long as
the higher self of the individuals involved agree.
Please, oh blessed angels, pour forth all the divine and glorious healing
force that you have into each and everyone in need of you this moment Now
let us be silent and allow the angels to work.
(Allow a few moments of silence)
Now let us add our own love and healing energies to these places and the
people in need, as we ourselves are healed by the force of the healing
energies flowing through us.
(Allow another few minutes of meditation)
We give thanks to you, Raphael, and Mother Mary.
We give thanks to all the Angels of the Healing Arts who are answering our
heartfelt prayers this very moment.
We ask that you stay as long as you are needed and that you continue to
overlight any and all who are suffering.
Amen, Amen, Amen.
When you feel ready focus back into your bodies and open your eyes.
Carry this peace and healing radiance within you as you leave this
meditation and resume your own work and go about your lives.
